What is synchronous or frequency adjustment
In switching voltage regulators and switch capacitive converters, using an internal oscillator to set the switch frequency output transistors. This switch frequency value can determine some of the external use converter component, determine the frequency converter noise, and influence the performance of the converter. Some converter allows by adjusting the internal oscillator frequency (" frequency adjustment ") or through the synchronous oscillator and external power source (" sync ") to change the switch frequency. Generally speaking, through improving switch frequency, the output stage in converter used in smaller parts (capacitor, sensor). This may reduce the efficiency of the converter because of increased switch loss unless use at the same time, higher quality components. The good performance of higher frequency converter will lower frequency converter than the instantaneous response is faster. If a board has several converter, then usually they are best synchronization to a public source. This can control the whole batch noise, and minimize possible any "knock frequency". The problem for high power converter (for example 5W or higher power) is usually very important. In many cases, switching frequency only from its default value increases. Product data sheet will be marked the function of frequency range.
